Item 2.02.
Results of Operation and Financial Condition.
On November 11, 2008, Sterling
Chemicals, Inc. (“Sterling”) filed its Quarterly Report on Form
10-Q for the period ended September 30, 2008. This Current Report on Form
8-K is being filed pursuant to Item 2.02 of Form 8-K to disclose financial
results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 not previously disclosed
in Sterling’s Form 10-Q, pursuant to Exhibit 99.1 hereto. As previously
announced, members of Sterling’s management will hold a conference call to
discuss its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended
September 30, 2008 and the information in this Current Report on Form 8-K
on November 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time. Individuals interested in
